Once you have your jewelry, especially that with gemstones or metals, you'll want to take care of it. Tarnish happens - especially on sterling silver (not so much with silver-filled or silver-plated wire - go figure) and copper. I've included a few tips on how to remove tarnish and then keep your jewelry tarnish free.
Gemstones, through the ages, have been given certain attributes. Lore tells us that you need to carry around a piece of aventurine for luck and money, turquoise for peace and friendship, rose quartz for romantic love...
In today's culture, many books and articles say that focused thoughts can bring about a desired outcome. In this case, the attributes of the gemstone acts like a string tied around your finger – wearing them reminds you to focus on your goal. While wearing aventurine or tiger's eye may not bring you a winning lottery ticket, they can help you focus your thoughts on your goal and, by directing positive thoughts to that goal, achieve it. Take a look through the attributes of gemstones listed and see if you need one. As stated on my necklaces page, I've begun a new line of wrapped gemstones. I can wrap one up for you and, who knows? Maybe you'll win the lottery because you have it around your neck. (I get 10% if you do!)
Certain qualities are attributed to gemstones -- healing, prosperity, and more. There are numerous resources describing these on the internet; here's a short summary.
